About this game

Tank Battle 1985 is a faithful browser tribute to the legendary 8-bit tank game from the Dendy and NES era. You control a lone tank at the bottom of the map and must protect the golden eagle base from waves of enemy tanks. Every stage sends 10 enemies — light, fast, armoured and elite — that hunt your base and shoot back. Destroy brick walls to open paths, but remember steel blocks only yield to an upgraded cannon. Drive over power-ups to gain new stars, a shield helmet, a freeze clock, a base-fortifying shovel, a grenade that wipes the screen or an extra tank. Progress through endless stages, chase a high score and climb the leaderboard. Works on desktop with arrows/WASD and on mobile with the on-screen D-pad — no install, no download.
